He had a distinguished career at Michigan State University, where he helped lead his team to victory in the 1988 Rose Bowl. After college, he began his professional career with the Indianapolis Colts. After one season, he was traded to the Atlanta Falcons where he stayed for several seasons. His next move was to the Cleveland Browns, where he was a free agent. He played for the Jaguars, the Packers (with whom he won his Super Bowl ring), the Chiefs and the Raiders.
A few years after his NFL career ended in 2000, Rison joined the Toronto Argonauts of the CFL for 1 season, ending his career as a football player.
Rison set a league record by scoring touchdowns with seven different NFL teams.
When he’s not coaching, he calls himself “an overseer” with his brother in a record and film company. He’s also written a yet-to-be-published book and has a movie in the making.
